Red Bull Top Gun — An epic event concept by, Joe Ridler

Red Bull Top Gun emerges from the thrill of competition and the constant pursuit of spectacular events, adding human flight to the echelon of Red Bull extreme sports. A race through the skies, Red Bull Top Gun is intended to establish the best of the best in one of the most insane sporting events the world will ever see.

For years Red Bull has played a key role in the world of extreme sports, not only as a sponsor for various teams and athletes, but by bringing a collection of creative and exciting events to exotic locales all over the world. Red Bull Launchpad is a competition intended to let the fans create and pick Red Bull's next major event in the vein of Red Bull Flugtag, Crashed Ice, or Road Rage (among many others).

Competitors were asked to take their "big idea" and condense it down to a 30-second video, at which point site visitors could vote between pairs in a Red Bull Video Showdown.

The competition ended on September 27th, where Ridler and the other 4 finalists presented to the panel of judges at the Red Bull US Headquarters in Santa Monica.

In the end, Red Bull Top Gun was selected as the winner of the Launchpad competition and Red Bull gave it Wings!
